Earth screws are installed with in-house designed excavators with modified hydraulics. Typically, 80-100 screws can be installed per day per machine in a medium stiff soil. For hard soils and bed-rock, pre-drilling or pre-chiselling is necessary.
Custom excavators and bobcats have proprietary hydraulic attachments for drilling and chiselling. Hand held hydraulic machines for small installations on steep slopes.
